This Archive Collection Chicago Blackhawks 1929 Archive Sweater includes white stripes across the upper and lower body as well as across the elbows on the sleeves. The sweater features a fully embroidered patch of the 1929 logo in the center.
These basic black and white sweaters were debuted during the team’s inaugural season in 1926 and were worn through the early 1930s. It was this sweater that was sported when the team captured their very first Stanley Cup in 1934. While the stripes were dialed back in later versions of the Blackhawks sweater, they were very much part of the team’s look from the very beginning. Until the introduction of the 2019 Winter Classic Jersey, which was a nod to these original threads, this was the only sweater the Blackhawks had ever worn that didn’t include the color red.
This sweater is considered a men’s cut and runs true to size.
