Archive Collection Chicago Stadium Cap
This black cap features a red bill and adjustable cloth strap. The “Chicago Stadium” wordmark is fully embroidered on the front of the hat. The cap also includes a side patch of the Chicago Flag.
The Blackhawks called the Chicago Stadium home for 65 years, opening the doors on March 28th, 1929. It served as host to numerous events, concerts, and political conventions, including 10 Stanley Cup Finals and three NBA finals. The Chicago Stadium was demolished in 1995. CNN televised the demolition, showing devoted Blackhawks and Bulls fans crying as the wrecking ball hit the old building. The site is now a parking lot across the street from the United Center.
